Low-Fat Mexican Cook Book

Mouthwatering User Friendly Recipes
This is a perfect cookbook! Not only are the recipes mouthwateringly delicious, they are simple and easy to prepare. The ingredient lists are fairly short and readily available at the neighborhood market. Many of the dishes take under 20 minutes to prepare.

Beyond the recipes themselves, the book contains some great reference information. There's a terrific illustrated guide to peppers, a glossary of mexican spices, and helpful hints for general cooking are scattered throughout the book.

This is an amazing value! If you're interested in low fat / high flavor cooking snap this one up!

Tasty, easy to follow recipes. Readily available ingredients
I have several low-fat mexican cookbooks and find myself using this one the most. Their recipes for corn bread, beans and soup are great.

Low-Fat Ways to Cook Fish & Shellfish

Delicious -- full of flavor!
I've tried three of these seafood recipes (the Cajun Catfish, Lemon-Dill Fish, and Sauteed Scallops on Lemon Fettucine) and every one turned out great. They were tasty and filling, not your typical bland low-fat food. I'm looking forward to preparing others, especially the "Quick & Easy Main Dishes" and the "Outdoor Specialties" (seafood you can grill). The photos are scrumptious. The spiral binding makes the book VERY easy to flip through and it also lies flat when you're cooking. This is an excellent cookbook for any seafood lover's shelf.

Low Fat ways to Cook Fish and Shellfish
One of the better cookbooks for seafood I've seen in awhile. Both pictures and receipes were great.

Low-Fat Ways to Cook One-Dish Meals

All the qualities of a Great Cookbook
I just love this whole series of cookbooks. Not only do they have terrific recipes that make great dishes, but they're also easy to follow, have big color pictures and are spiral bound. When I make a dish for the first time, it really helps to know what it's "supposed to look like". The spiral binding makes it easy to leave open on the kitchen counter.

Great Cookbook
My mom and I love this cookbook. The meals are simple, easy, use common ingredients, and taste great. I am buying a second copy for my mom since I took mine when I moved out of state.

Making History : Pukapukan and Anthropological Constructions of Knowledge
Published in Hardcover by Cambridge University Press (July, 1987)
Author: Robert Borofsky
Average review score:

Borofsky's exquisite insight to Pukapukan life
In Robert Borofsky's, Making History, there is a fresh look into the lives of pacific islanders. Borofsky exquisitely shows us the pride the Pukapukans take in knowledge of their ways. Pukapukans have specific ways for attaining knowledge as well as for letting you know when your view of that knowledge is wrong. Robert Borofsky has opened a door to an aspect of pacific life that most anthropologists have a tendency of overlooking. While in the process of sharing the ways of Pukapukans, Borofsky raises the question as to, who has the right to speak for whom? Do Anthropologists have the right to go to another country and critique the lifestyle of the people? In this book, Robert Borofsky doesn't answer that question, but, what he does do is give us an unbiased, un-opinionated view of the culture on this island and leaves it up to you to decide the answer to the question. Pukapukans have their own way of doing things and Borofsky portrays their lifestyle clearly and effectively without swaying the reader's opinion to match his. It is an excellent piece of work and I would recommend it to anyone who likes to think.

Mary and Vincent Price's come into the kitchen cook book; a collector's treasury of America's great recipes
Published in Hardcover by Stravon Educational Pr (January, 1969)
Authors: Mary Price and Vincent Price

A book of gracious living
After I saw the "Mad Magician" when I was 14, I became a Vincent Price fan forever. What a wonderful surprise to discover that he also loved art and cooking! I saw him lecture on art at the University of Kentucky and read his book "I Like What I Know." I was thrilled to buy his book in the late 60's--it has remained one of my most prized possessions. The recipes are just the best, but the real wonderment for me was to see the beautiful full page color plates of his house and his extensive collection of plates, glasses, pots, pans, etc. All sorts of things I had never heard of at the time. Just wonder-full. I enjoyed your life, too. Thank you and God bless you, Vincent!

Is the best cook book in America!
I've been looking for this book for many years, and infortunatly I coudln't find it. I hope, Amazon.com can to find it for me. I will be very glad for your help. thank you. (SORRY, BUT I'M LEARNING ENGLISH)

Modeling and Role Modeling: A Theory and Paradigm for Nursing
Published in Hardcover by Prentice Hall (January, 1983)
Author: Helen Cook Erickson
Average review score:

Modeling and Role-Modeling Theory of Nursing
This book is essential for anybody interested in learning about the nursing theory, Modeling and Role-Modeling. The content includes rationale for the theory, the underlying assumptions and conceptual bases for the theory, and guidelines for applying the theory. While the original printing was in 1985 and additional research and applications have further developed various parts of the theory, the basic elements of the theory have not changed since its inception. Because this theory is applicable across settings and client populations, it is highly recommended!

Modeling and Role-modeling is available
I believe that this book is the same as Modeling and Role-modeling: A Theory and Paradigm for Nursing by Erickson, Tomlin and Swain. Please see my review of that book for details.

Mr. Food's Old World Cooking Made Easy (The Mr. Food Series)
I have several cookbooks in my home. This one is my favorite of all! Everything I have prepared from this book has been a hit with my friends and family. In addition to making the dishes tastes "soooooo good" he really does allow me to cook soooooooo easy. Mr. Ginsberg, you have made St. Patrick's Day alot more fun at my house (my Irish ancestors would be so proud)! I get to wow my friends with recipes from other foreign countries, too. You make me look like a great cook even though I am just a mere novice in your shadow! Thank you for making cooking fun!

The best cook books in the world are Mr. Food!
If you are looking to learn how to cook, look no further! Mr. Food cookbooks are the best I've ever tried. I am a teenager and am just starting to build up my cooking skills, and Mr. Food makes it so easy and fun. I can impress my family with dishes that seem like they took a lot of time but really took no effort. So don't hesitate in buying Mr. Food, this one especially. It's my favorite. So far!:-)
